SOUTH JACKSON STREET BAND
(Sounds of the Big Band Era)
South Jackson Street (swing) Band was founded in the early 1970's by Bob Carter of Tullahoma, TN. Since that time, the Band has built its reputation from quality performance, outstanding musicianship, and extensive repertoire.
From its very beginning, the band has championed the Big Band art form, reviving the joy and excitement of the era, its musicians and its sound. Each band member has a strong background in the instrument played and an intense desire to share an evening of musical bliss with the audience.
The band features 5 Saxophones, three to four trumpets, 3 to 4 Trombones, Keyboard, Guitar, Percussion, Bass, Female and Male vocalists.
